Dark Arts Market Canada is dedicated to supporting and promoting Canadian artists and artisans whose work may not fit easily into a more mainstream marketplace. We celebrate all things weird and wonderful from right across Canada.
Dark Arts Market Canada is run by Sheryl Kirby. Under the parent company Stained Productions, Sheryl runs the bi-monthly in-person Toronto Dark Arts Market, as well as various events such as dance parties, swap events, and the popular Goth Bingo Nights. She and her partner Greg Clow also maintain the listing sites Toronto Goth Events and Toronto Artisan Markets where they help to spread the word about events in the local Goth community, as well as Toronto-area markets for artisans of all stripes.
Dark Arts Market Canada was created to compliment the in-person events of Toronto Dark Arts Market, so that artisans and customers who find it difficult to attend an in-person market due to distance, health issues, or scheduling conflicts, may still take part. An online pop-up event allows individuals from the far reaches of our vast country to find new customers or new artists to love, all while supporting small, independent Canadian businesses.
